If you want to splurge on something to give your backyard that serious wow factor, consider investing your money into a beautiful water feature, fire pit to create a statement in the area. A statement piece will totally transform your space and will help to create plenty of memories for years to come.
Look second hand
Head to your local op shop or checkout eBay or Gumtree to see if you can find some preloved pieces perfect for your outdoor space. Whether its a table or chairs or even some accessories, you will save so much in the long run.

Hacking is such a popular and cheap solution for reviving old furniture to look like new. This could be as simple as painting planter boxes or giving your outdoor setting a fresh coat of paint. Whether its bench seating you are after or a new side table, DIY is yet another surefire way to save while making something totally unique for your backyard. With so many tutorials available online, you will be able to pick up some materials for a fraction of the price and get busy! It will be worth the time and effort in the end.
If decking is out of reach, gravel and stones are the perfect way to update your area without the price tag. Although it is one of the cheapest landscaping solutions out there, it will make for a stunning space for entertaining and relaxing until your heart’s content.
Add some mulch
Top up your gardens and flowerbeds with some mulch for a fresh look. Not only will your plants thank you for it, but it will add a beautiful colour and texture to the landscape.
Plants are a beautiful way to brighten up a space and give you that luxurious villa feel. Pick up some woven baskets for cheap or give some old terracotta pots a new coat of paint rather than investing in expensive new pots.
Because you can never have too many plants, fill up a blank wall for cheap by creating a vertical garden. This is perfect for adding some colour to smaller outdoor spaces or for those who want some herbs in reach of the barbecue.
